My name is Chris Boudreaux and I created SocialMediaGovernance.com to provide tools and resources for leaders and managers who want to get the most from their efforts in social media.

I am an executive at Converseon, where I lead teams of business and technology professionals to improve Marketing, Sales and Customer Service capabilities, from strategy through execution. I work with many Converseon clients. I am also a member of the WOMMA Membership Ethics Advisory Panel. The contents of this site are my personal opinion and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Converseon or Converseon clients.

In 2011, Wiley & Sons published a book that I conceived and architected entitled The Social Media Management Handbook: Everything You Need to Know to Get Social Media Working in Your Business. When I left Accenture to join Converseon, Accenture removed my name from the cover of the book, but you will find my name on three chapters in the book, and you can preview chapters in the book here.

In 2009, I created an online database of social media policies. Toward the end of 2009, I published my first analysis of social media policies. You can download that study here.

In the past, I led product development and business transformation initiatives at Fortune 100 companies as an Executive at Accenture. I also led business development and product development teams at two online start-ups, one of which was acquired by Glam Media. I am also a former Naval Officer.

Prior to joining Accenture, I completed the full-time MBA program, and an MS in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. I also hold a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which I completed while serving in the U.S. Navy, and a BS in Management from Tulane University.

I also spent a few years leading process reengineering projects at Bank of America, including the Program Management Office for post-merger integration of Bank of America and NationsBank.

Today I live in Austin, TX.   I have also lived and worked in Charlotte, Chicago, Germany, London, San Francisco and Seattle.
